Captain Cook Memorial Museum
The Museum has a collection of exhibits about Cook's Whitby years and his later achievements, and includes unique items of great historical importance.

It is located in the old house by the harbourside which has for over two hundred years been associated with Cook.

Whitby Archive Heritage
Since 1983 Whitby Archives and Heritage Centre has been involved with the local community, providing a venue for exhibitions and events, making adult work training places available for Government training scheme placements, giving school children work experience and involving the disabled and those with special needs to become involved with local community work. In addition it provides interesting work for other volunteers of all age groups and abilities, from the surrounding district
